Abstract

The increase in crime, especially theft of two-wheeled motorized vehicles, is increasing daily. This happens because of various factors, such as a security system that is still lacking, which gives rise to an idea or idea to create a GPS-based security system. This study aims to help the public maintain their motorized vehicles; with a GPS tracker tool, vehicle owners can find their vehicle is location. This research was conducted using the method of place and time of research conducted in three different places, namely residential areas, villages, and fields, as well as using data collection methods, namely library research and testing or experiments to test the GPS tracker system that has been designed to determine the performance of motorized vehicles. From the results of this study, the GPS tracker tool can function properly; it uses an application, namely Ruhavik so that vehicle owners can see and track the vehicle's position. The GPS tracker will send a notification through the Ruhavik application on the user's cellphone when the vehicle starts and stops. Users can also view recorded travel routes as long as the user's cellphone has an internet network; therefore, an internet network and a sim card are needed in using the application.
