Abstract

The development of science and technology in the automotive sector also continues to grow; as a result of this matter, it is imperative that everyone who studies science and technology in the automotive field must also improve their abilities and expertise in the automotive field. In the world of education, especially automotive education, both schools and colleges are highly required to follow the development of various kinds of science and technology in the automotive field, including science and technology in body repair and painting. This research was located when the research was conducted on Jl. Basuki Rahmat Km 9.5, Sorong City. The study of "Body Paint Drying Oven Design for Motorcycles" was carried out for ± 1 month using the field observation method. The stages in this research start from tool design and manufacture up to tool testing. The initial temperature is at 28°C, and the highest is 70°C. From 28°C to 60°C takes ± 4 minutes 16 seconds; temperatures 60°C to 65°C take ± 1 minute 02 seconds; and temperatures 65°C to 70°C take ± 1 minute 18 seconds, so from an initial temperature of 28°C to 70°C, it takes ± 06 minutes 37 seconds. So the total time needed is from 28°C to 70°C ± 06 minutes 37 seconds, while the temperature used for drying ranges from ± 60°C to 70°C.
