Abstract

The development of technology and industry demands the use of efficient and environmentally friendly tools. Compressors are one of the essential components in a wide range of industrial applications, from refrigeration systems to pneumatic tools. However, the production and use of conventional compressors often involves high costs and significant environmental impacts. Therefore, this study aims to explore more economical and sustainable alternatives by utilizing used components from unused refrigerators. The research method used is the experimental method, which includes problem identification, concept design, and prototyping, as well as testing and evaluation. The results of the study show that compressors made from used refrigerator materials offer a more economical and environmentally friendly solution by utilizing existing components, although their efficiency is lower than conventional compressors. The result of the design of the compressor with specifications of 38 cm in height, 40 cm in length and 28 cm in width, with an air pressure of 75 Psi, where the filling speed is 0.16 Psi / Second, with a capacity of 7 bars can fill 4 units of motorcycle tires and 11 units of bicycles, as for the length of filling time of 7 bars is 13 minutes 16 seconds.
